New Vistas Crisis Center is a Short-term Acute Residential Treatment (START) Program with a strong motivational interviewing and psychosocial rehabilitation approach to working with our clients.  We also use cognitive-behavioral / dialectical behavior (DBT) treatment strategies within our program, which is a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization

General Description

Psycho social rehabilitation position manages a caseload of clients each shift at a short-term acute residential treatment facility (START). Counselors provide individual, group and milieu therapy. Great opportunity to work with dually diagnosed adults. The staff is supportive and professional. Job functions include assessments, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, crisis intervention, outreach activities, and potential for team leadership role.

Qualifications/Skills Requirements

Master's Degree in Psychology/Counseling. Current CPR/First Aid Certificate must be maintained while employed.
